About this tool

What does the generator produce?
A plain-text block with the four disclosures Article 19 of Regulation (EU) 2023/988 requires for a distance sale: the manufacturer's identity and contact details, the EU Responsible Person when the manufacturer is outside the EU, product identification including a reference to its picture, and warnings in the languages of the countries you sell into. Where do I paste it?
Anywhere the marketplace shows product information to the buyer. Most marketplaces now also have dedicated fields for the manufacturer and Responsible Person, and those fields are what their compliance checks read. The per-marketplace guides show where each field lives: Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Shopify.
Does the check mean my listing is compliant?
No. It checks that the four Article 19 disclosures are present, which is the most common reason a listing gets suppressed. It cannot judge whether your warnings are adequate for the product, whether your Responsible Person is valid, or whether your product meets the general safety requirement. It is a completeness check, not legal advice.
Is my data stored?
No. The generator runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to a server. If you want the data saved and reused across marketplaces, that is what Ariadne itself is for.
Which languages should the warnings be in?
The language the Member State you sell into requires, which is usually its official language. A listing on amazon.de needs German warnings, one on amazon.fr French, and so on. See which languages GPSR warnings need.
