GPSR on bol.com: What Sellers Must Provide
bol.com is phasing in GPSR enforcement with two hard dates in 2026. Here is what its own Partner Platform page confirms, and what it leaves for the logged-in portal.

What bol asks for
bol's Partner Platform GPSR page names three data points, in Dutch. Manufacturer data: fabrikantnaam (manufacturer name), fabrikantadres (manufacturer address) and the manufacturer's electronic address. EU Responsible Party (verantwoordelijk marktdeelnemer in de EU): name, the registered trade name or trademark, and contact details including postal and electronic address. Safety information: mandatory product information such as safety warnings.

Where fields are entered
bol's general product-file mechanism is uploading an Excel or CSV file with category-specific characteristics ("kenmerken") and a reference code, but the GPSR-specific columns within that file, whether there's a distinct manufacturer column or a generic attribute, are not documented on the public page. This is an open question. Treat any third-party integration guide's claimed bol column names with caution until you can confirm them against your own account.
The two 2026 deadlines
| Date | What changes |
|---|---|
| 5 March 2026 | New listings cannot go online without manufacturer data |
| 1 April 2026 | New listings additionally cannot go online without EU Responsible Party data, and bol begins phased removal of existing listings that lack manufacturer information |
bol's own wording for the April phase: "Vanaf 1 april haalt bol daarnaast in fases bestaande artikelen offline" (From 1 April, bol will additionally take existing articles offline in phases).
What happens if it's missing
Beyond the two deadlines above, bol ties ongoing non-compliance to its seller performance system: "er kunnen beleidspunten in mindering worden gebracht als blijkt dat je niet aan de GPSR voldoet" (policy points can be deducted if it turns out you do not comply with GPSR), which can extend to bol taking dangerous articles offline outright.
Where buyers see it
Not specified on bol's public GPSR page. bol doesn't state exactly where on the product detail page this data appears to shoppers. This is unverified.
Marketplace-specific quirks
- Pre-13-December-2024 stock. bol's public GPSR page doesn't surface a placed-on-the-market exemption mechanism the way Allegro or eBay do. Open question.
- Non-EU sellers. bol frames the requirement generally, manufacturer plus EU Responsible Party, without naming a bol-specific carve-out beyond the general GPSR rule.
- Language. bol operates the Netherlands and Belgium (Dutch and French), but its GPSR page doesn't explicitly mandate a language for safety warnings. Not directly confirmed.
- External resources. bol points sellers toward outside authorities rather than positioning itself as the compliance authority, naming the Dutch NVWA (food and consumer product safety authority) and Ondernemersplein.
How Ariadne's record maps onto bol's fields
Ariadne's manufacturer block covers bol's manufacturer name, address and electronic-address fields directly. The Responsible Person block matches bol's EU Responsible Party requirement when your manufacturer is outside the EU. Because bol hasn't published its exact upload column names, place Ariadne's generated text into whatever field bol's own product-file template provides once you have Partner Platform access, rather than relying on a fixed column name from this guide. Generate the block here.
